Four Peaks Stein Holding Qualifier Coming Thursday Sept 17th

Come to the 8th Street Pub to prove your mettle and earn a chance to go for the grand prize during the Four Peaks Oktoberfest!

Welcome to the 2026 Four Peaks Brewing Stein Holding Competition, held at our 8th Street Pub! You'll go head-to-head with other competitors in a qualifying round to earn a chance to compete at the upcoming Four Peaks Oktoberfest for the grand prize of a $500 gift card.

This qualifying round will take place on September 17th at our 8th Street Pub. If you can't make it, we'll also be hosting qualifying events at bars and restaurants across the state. Anyone over 21 is welcome to attend and compete.

Your $8 entry fee includes a commemorative stein filled with beer. 8th Street entrants will be divided into men's and women's categories and limited to 15 competitors per round. Please note that your ticket guarantees entry, not a heat assignment, which are done on a first-come, first-served basis. GET TICKETS HERE

The winner from each round moves on to the final event on October 11th at Four Peaks Oktoberfest at Tempe Town Lake.

Here are the rules:

Entrants must be 21 to compete

You must use the stein provided to you

Steins will be filled to the one-liter mark with beer (other liquids allowed upon request)

Each round will consist of up to 15 men or women. Should additional rounds be needed, we will add them.

Competitors must hold the stein with one arm. Arm must be straight and parallel to the ground at shoulder level.

Any elbow bending, dropping arms below parallel, or spilling of beer will result in elimination. The determination of the Four Peaks judges is final.

The final person holding their stein appropriately will be declared the winner.

At the main competition, you'll need to turn in your custom Oktoberfest stein before re-entering the park due to a no-glass policy. You can pick up your clean stein at the Four Peaks 8th Street Pub the following week, October 12-18.
