Sinagua Malts and AZ Wilderness Brewing Collab to conserve Verde River watershed since 2018!
With a purpose to reduce water usage on the declining Verde River watershed, Sinagua malts was founded in 2016. With the help of Arizona Wilderness Brewing (and now many more breweries) the project has been widely successful to this day. Great job AZ Wilderness and Sinagua Malts! Sinagua Malt has become one of the most interesting sustainability stories in Arizona craft beer. Based in the Verde Valley, the company works with local farmers to grow malting barley during the c

3 Point Beer Review: Two Hands Dry Hopped Italian Pilsner from The Shop Beer Co, Tempe AZ
I'm still trying to learn the subtle differences between German Pilsner and Italian Pilsner. My understanding is the Italian version is generally dry hopped resulting in heavy hop aromatics and the German one is not as aromatic with a sharp clean bitterness. Most of the top examples of Italian Pilsner I've had (Firestone Walker Pivo Pils, Sierra Nevada PILS) use Saphir or Spalter Select hops. Some day I hope to get a fresh example of the grand-daddy of the style, Tipo Pils

Silver Medal Winning Day Drinker Light Lager by Pedal Haus Brewing
Drink this one by the litre! World Beer Cup winner for 2026 (Silver Medal), this beer drinks like a light lager should. I would prefer it more hoppy but this still sits true to style (12IBU) and has enough malt character and crisp minerality to make it enjoyable. This is a core beer style for the brewery so stop by and grab a litre today! Congrats Pedal Haus Brewing.... Buckhorn West Coast IPA by Wren House Brewing Co.
This one hits all the marks of 1) old school bitterness 2) new school IPA 2.0 fruity or citrus notes 3) ultra clean fermentation and sharp hop-forward water profile 4) ultra lean malt bill for a lighter color but some flaked oats to smooth it out. Very dialed and outstanding! My highest recommendation - do not miss!
